Regional Head of CMB ASP appointed to EU-ASEAN Business Council

Stuart Tait, Regional Head of Commercial Banking, Asia Pacific, HSBC has been elected as an Executive Board member of the EU-ASEAN Business Council (EUABC).

The EUABC acts as the primary voice for European Business in ASEAN, partnering with ASEAN governments and organisations to foster stronger economic ties between two of the largest trading blocs globally. The Executive Board oversees the operations of the Business Council with the day-to-day management handled by the Executive Director and staff.

ASEAN is a key growth area for HSBC as it seeks to accelerate growth from its Asian franchise. The region’s robust economic growth, its increasing trade and investment flows, its inhabitants rising affluence, big infrastructure investment plans and ongoing integration efforts will continue to fuel demand for financial services across HSBC’s business spectrum.
