HSBC appoints Head of Innovation Asia for GLCM division

HSBC announces the appointment of Narayan Ranganathan as Head of Innovation Asia, Global Liquidity and Cash Management (GLCM) with immediate effect. Narayan will lead and shape HSBC’s innovation agenda across the region, working alongside Fintech partners across region to enhance our cash and liquidity solutions for corporate clients.

Narayan joined HSBC’s GLCM Innovation team in 2018 as a Senior Innovation Manager. Over the last two years he has supported the development of HSBC’s regional innovation ecosystem.

Narayan brings a wealth of experience with expertise in product development, business transformation and commercialisation. He has more than 18 years of experience in financial services and technology, having worked for top tier banks in the US including Wells Fargo, Bank of America and Citi. He holds an MBA from University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.

Narayan will continue to be based in Singapore and will report to Louise Chan, HSBC’s Head of Innovation Delivery & Capability for GLCM, and to David Koh, Head of GLCM Singapore.
