HSBC appoints its first Chief Digital Officer for ASEAN

Prior to this appointment, he served as the Head of Global Liquidity and Cash Management (GLCM) in Malaysia where the business achieved significant revenue growth, industry recognition and won marquee mandates under his leadership. Mr Hazir’s instrumental role in establishing a culture of innovative thinking and driving digital transformation has led to many industry firsts in Malaysia. These include the launch and pilot of new digital solutions working in close partnership with fintechs and the Malaysian central bank. These achievements contributed to HSBC Malaysia winning The Asset Triple A Digital Awards for Digital Bank of the Year in 2021 and 2022.
